Authenticity & Quality Assurance
At Project Sneakers, we guarantee 100% authenticity. Every item that enters and leaves our warehouse undergoes a thorough inspection carried out by our trained Warehouse Team. Certain sneaker silhouettes and models are known to have small factory imperfections. This is particularly common on high-volume releases such as:
-
Nike Dunk Low
-
Nike Air Jordan 4 (GS)
Although Nike performs its own quality control before releasing products, minor flaws are more frequently found on models produced in larger quantities. As a result, our team may still authenticate and approve pairs that show these small, manufacturing-related imperfections.
Common Minor Factory Flaws
Below are examples of minor issues that may be present and are considered normal for specific models:
1. Visible Glue Marks
Occasionally, glue may be seen around the leather panels.
-
Coloured glue marks can usually be removed with sneaker wipes or a damp cloth.
-
Clear glue marks are harder to remove, but their transparent appearance makes them less noticeable.
These are common manufacturing traits and do not indicate faulty goods.
2. Slight Dents or Impressions in the Upper
Pairs may arrive with small dents due to movement inside the shoebox.
Our team reorganises and correctly stores all sneakers, and these minor impressions generally ease out naturally over time.
3. Minor Stitching Imperfections
Due to mass production, you may notice:
-
Slight stitching deviations
-
Small areas of stitching lifting or beginning to fray
These do not affect the structure or performance of the sneaker.
4. Box Tissue Paper Quality
For some models, Nike includes thinner tissue paper that tears easily.
Receiving a pair with slightly ripped or lower-quality tissue paper is normal and does not mean the item is defective.
What Is Considered Normal
The minor issues listed above are commonly found on certain sneaker models and do not prevent the item from passing Nike’s own quality checks.
Therefore, these small imperfections do not qualify a product as faulty.
